Howrey Construction Inc., 1609 Garfield Street, Bondurant, IA 50035, is seeking 3 temporary,
full-time construction laborers to work at 1609 Garfield Street, Bondurant, IA 50035 and in Polk, Jasper, Poweshiek, Dallas, Guthrie, Audubon, Carroll, Greene, Boone, Story, Marshall, Grundy, Hardin, Hamilton, Webster, Cass, Adair, Madison, Warren, Marion, Mahaska, Monroe, Lucas, Clarke, and Union counties from 04/01//2025 to 11/20/2025 for $23.59/hour. Applicants may be offered higher than the advertised wage rate due to experience or merit. Duties include:
Performing tasks involving physical labor at construction sites. Prepare the site for concrete
placement by loading and unloading materials, digging, and leveling the earth. Place the concrete under direction of supervisor. May operate hand and power tools. May set up traffic control
devices. No minimum education required. Must have 6 months of concrete construction
experience. Must be able to lift and carry 100 pounds 25 yds. Must be able to perform physical activities such as lifting, walking, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Work is outdoors, exposed to weather. Must be capable of doing physically strenuous labor for long hours,
occasionally in extreme heat. Workdays are Monday to Friday, 6:30AM to 6:00 PM Some
Saturday work may be required. Overtime may be available but is not guaranteed. Overtime rate is $35.39. The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due and pay bi-weekly by check. The employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck as
required by law. Any advances will be deducted with the consent of the employee. The worker will be reimbursed for transportation and subsistence from the place from which the worker has
come to work for the employer, whether in the U.S. or abroad, to the place of employment, in the first workweek at a rate of a minimum of $15.88 per day to a maximum of $59.00 per day with
documentation of actual expenses. The employer will provide or pay for the worker's cost of return transportation and daily subsistence from the place of employment to the place from
which the worker, disregarding intervening employment, departed to work for the employer, if
the worker completes the certified period of employment or is dismissed before 11/20/2025.The employer will reimburse the H-2B worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing,
border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but need not include passport expenses or other charges primarily for the
benefit of the worker). The employer will assist workers in securing board, lodging, or other
facilities. The employer will provide daily transportation to and from the worksite. The employer will provide to the worker, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment
