What You’ll Do:
Lead, train, and mentor a team of 5 Accountants, 4 Accounts Payable staff, and 1 admin
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, reconciliations, purchasing, and financial reporting
Ensure compliance with GAAP, GASB, and internal controls
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Provide consultative support to senior leadership and assist in decision-making
Coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closings
Oversee regulatory compliance, including 1099s, tax filings, and financial audits
What You Bring:
5 years of progressive accounting experience (industry preference for agriculture, nonprofit, or government)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proven experience managing teams and overseeing financial operations
Strong Excel skills and experience with PeopleSoft (or similar ERP systems)
Ability to lead, influence, and drive process improvements
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
