Wage: Starting at $19.00-$23.00/hr. DOE
Shift: Monday-Friday, 1st shift- 8:30am-5:00m
Location: Columbia, IL

Primary Duties
- Prioritize work based on start dates. Follow all S.O.P’s.
- Sort orders according to thickness, style and frame type to run through appropriate edger machines.
- Verify Rx on breakages to ensure that all previous edger errors are corrected.
- Routine Cleaning and tool changes of each unit.
- Reset or correct minor issues that stop the unit from producing work.
- Set up, Calibrate and monitor the quality of work being produced on each unit.
- Verify the correct size is being edged on orders by sampling work off each unit.
- Pin bevel sharp edges and on occasion mount lenses into frame.
- Occasionally perform light maintenance on edger machines.
- Empty waste from underneath edger machines and fill out logs.
- Thoroughly Clean machine after each shift usage.
- Cross-train in other positions and help in other areas of department when needed
- Remove edging blocks and adhesive rubber pad that hold block to lens
- Pad up blocks with adhesive rubber pad for edging
- Use hand stone to bevel off sharp edges from lenses
- Produce 15 jobs per hour per operating unit with less than 1% wastage.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of optical lab experience.
Salary : $19 - $23
