The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced, results-oriented strategy practitioner to join HP's Print Strategy & Planning team, reporting to the Senior Director and Head of Print Strategy as part of the newly created HP Global Strategy function. This team of strategy professionals is

HP has been leading the Office Print market for 40 years since the introduction of the HP Laserjet printer in 1984. This sustained leadership is a tribute to the innovation that comes from the amazing team here at HP. The Office Print market is a large, dynamic, and ever-changing market that requires strong customer understanding and a global mindset to business and strategy management. The competitive landscape is fierce and requires a global mindset to development and marketing to over 170 counties. This expansive presence allows HP to cater to diverse market needs and adapt its products to varying customer demands, which is a key factor in its longstanding success in the office laser printing market.
This role is responsible for driving the company's strategic direction, ensuring that it remains competitive and adaptable in a rapidly changing business landscape. This is role is integral to transform the Office Print and evolve it into a more software and solutions driven business. In this role you will define our gameplan that will impact our product / portfolio roadmap, GTM motions, competitive responses, M&A approach, etc. You will inform the strategic choices by conducting in-depth analyses, synthesizing the analytical results, testing hypotheses, and forming the recommendations. The role will need collaboration with cross-functional leaders to refine and align strategy with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Analyze market research on latest industry trends, competitive landscape and product innovations.
- Develop recommendations on go-forward 1-5 year strategy on where to play and how to win.
- Develops some short-term plans and levers to optimize business and financial performance, facilitate regular follow-ups on strategic planning to foster collaboration and ensure accountability.
- Structure analytical approaches and develops project guidelines, objectives, strategies deliverables, and tactics to drive successful outcomes.
- Manages large, cross-functional teams and communications to facilitate projects and ensure timely delivery to internal stakeholders.
- Consults with business executives on a wide range of issues related to the strategy formulation process, including risk management and new growth opportunities.
- Provides thought leadership and contributes to expanding the knowledge base within area of expertise which includes developing new methods, techniques and criteria for developing strategy analysis and recommendations.
- Collaborates across businesses, functions, and regions to align strategy and direction with corporate and divisional / business units.

The base pay range for this role is USD $176,900 - $230,850 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and / or equity (applies to US candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
