We are seeking a motivated individual with outstanding customer service skills, sales experience, and leadership skills to manage our locally owned, new, upscale self-storage facility in Salem, OR. This full-time position is responsible for the daily operations of the facility. He/she will contribute to profitability by taking ownership and accountability of the property and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Assist new customers in finding storage solutions that meets their needs
- Provide superior customer service
- Exceed customer expectations by listening and offering solutions that meet their needs
- Optimize all reservation and walk-in customer conversion opportunities
- Assist with development and implementation of promotional/marketing programs within the community
- Perform market research
- Maintain a working knowledge of all products and services
- Assist customers with retail purchases, up-selling
- Execute leases
- Monitor collections and manage auction process
- Apply same skill set across multiple facilities
- Conduct daily property checks to maintain security and cleanliness, including checking locks, cleaning units, and restocking supplies
- Ensure high quality property appearance through light maintenance/cleaning
Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of sales, retail or hospitality management experience required
- Previous property management experience strongly preferred
- Motivated individual who strives for continuous self-improvement
- Able to seek opportunities and solutions daily
- Able to coach, train, and motivate staff
- Strong communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team and promote a positive working environment
- Proficient with Microsoft Office with ability to learn new software
- Detail oriented with strong time management skills
- Ability to work weekends/select holidays as necessary
- Possess a valid Oregon driver’s license
- Must have professional appearance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
