What are the responsibilities and job description for the Level II - Interior Designer position at HPA Design Group?
HPA Design Group is seeking a Level II Interior Designer to join our team to join our team. In this position, you will be responsible for assisting in the management of the day-to-day production of multi-family interior design projects to meet deadlines accurately.
Responsibilities
- Provide project admin support to designers and managers
- Design multifamily projects
- Interact with clients semi-regularly
- Coordinate with other professionals such as contractors, architects, engineers and other consultants to ensure job success
- Develop strong relationships with vendors
- Prepare and manage furniture budgets
- Utilize vendors and materials knowledge to create unique and innovative presentations
- Successful at multi-tasking to meet fast paced project deadlines
- Produce documentation, detailed instructions, drawings and specifications
- Assist in requesting pricing for budgetary purposes
- Adheres to building codes & ADA compliance throughout project lifecycle
- Manage and coordinate installs
- Record meeting minutes
- Pull furniture, art, and accessory selections.
- Domestic travel is required
- Sit in on conference calls
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in interior design
- Multifamily experience is preferred
- Technical proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
- Bluebeam & SketchUp is desirable
- Proficiency in Revit is required
- Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Ability to develop collaborative relationships across the firm and with clients
- Ability to clearly communicate design ideas and concepts verbally and digitally
- Develop strong intercompany relationships
Department/Reporting Relationships
- Studio member on interior design team
- Reports to the Project Manager with a secondary reporting relationship to the assigned Senior Designer (Level 4)/Design Lead
- Supports Senior Designer (Level 4)/Design Lead as needed

Additional Details:
Work Location: Irvine, CA with opportunity for a hybrid schedule.
Travel: Domestic travel required, including the ability to attend annual company meetings.

Salary : $62,000 - $80,000
