What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Office Receptionist position at HPC?
We are seeking a dependable and experienced medical receptionist with an excellent attendance record who is familiar with the front desk workflow of a medical office: check-in/ check-out, medical insurance eligibility verification, medical records, referrals, and the use of eClinicalWorks electronic medical records.
Responsible for providing exceptional customer service as the first point of contact for external customers in the office and on the telephone. Greets patients and visitors and determines their needs by directing them accordingly. Facilitates efficient patient flow through the office, handles busy phone volume of patient calls, and appointment scheduling, The ideal candidate for this position is detail-oriented, has excellent time management skills, and has a proactive work ethic.
Must be able to read and understand benefit eligibility reports and determine deductible, copay, and coinsurance amounts. Must be familiar with checking insurance eligibility through various insurance portals and experience reading patient account ledgers and billing alerts regarding current and past due balances. Must know how to obtain VA and government insurance referral authorizations, and obtain authorizations/ pre-certifications for services and additional visits (preferred). Familiarity with the VA HRSM system is a plus.
Rotating shift of 6:45 am - 4 pm; 7:45 am - 5 pm depending upon the needs of the practice; Travel to Macon office and/ or our satellite offices in Warner Robins, Dublin, & Milledgeville GA every week or rotating basis. Seeking local candidates residing in Macon Georgia and/or surrounding cities (within 45 minutes). Must be dependable and able to work the entire workshift. This is a full-time position. We do NOT have any part-time positions available.
NOTE: eClinicalWorks experience preferred. Phreesia experience preferred. Applications will be accepted for those applicants who complete the employer pre-screening questions and skills tests.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
