Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Unarmed Security Guard to join our security team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in security or a related field, with a strong commitment to maintaining safety and security on our premises. Applicants must either possess or be willing to obtain a New York Security Guard Certificate within 90 days of employment. This position is responsible for monitoring, patrolling, and protecting the property, employees, and visitors through preventive and responsive security measures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine patrols of the property, ensuring the security of buildings, grounds, and other facilities by identifying potential threats or hazards.
• Monitor surveillance systems and security alarms, promptly addressing any unusual activity or security breaches.
• Enforce access control policies by checking identification and credentials, issuing visitor passes, and ensuring that only authorized individuals are granted access.
• Respond quickly to security incidents, alarms, and emergency situations, taking appropriate action to manage the situation and contacting emergency personnel if needed.
• Provide customer service by interacting professionally with employees, visitors, and clients, answering questions, and offering directions or assistance as necessary.
• Maintain a strong physical presence to deter criminal activity and ensure a safe environment for all personnel and visitors.
• Prepare detailed reports on security-related incidents, daily activities, and other occurrences, ensuring accurate documentation.
• Assist in emergency situations such as evacuations, medical emergencies, or fire drills, in coordination with local law enforcement and emergency responders.
• Ensure compliance with all security protocols, company policies, and legal regulations.
• Complete required training, including obtaining a New York Security Guard Certificate within 90 days of employment.
• Assist with monitoring safety measures in place for high-traffic areas, preventing accidents, and ensuring all safety procedures are followed.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have or be willing to obtain a New York Security Guard Certificate within 90 days of employment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to write clear and concise incident reports.
• Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions in emergency or high-stress situations.
• Customer service-oriented with the ability to interact respectfully and professionally with people at all levels.
• Knowledge of security systems including CCTV surveillance, alarms, and access control systems is a plus.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
• Valid driver's license may be required depending on the job location or duties.

Working Conditions:

• May involve working outside in various weather conditions.
• Shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Role may require standing or walking for long periods and may include occasional lifting or handling equipment.

Pay: $22.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
