We are a Kentucky-based nonprofit that provides collaborative, industry-led executive leadership to attract and promote advanced research, sustainability, commercialization and talent development in Kentucky’s metals industry–and, ultimately, for Kentucky to be seen as the preeminent destination for metals innovation.

Summary of Role

The Manager of Member Engagement role focuses on attracting new members, fostering meaningful relationships with members, and enhancing their overall experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Drive member acquisition across our four “segments” of membership which include: 1) large metals companies; 2) small/midsized metals businesses (companies with fewer than 500 employees globally); 3) value providers (vendors/suppliers/consultants to the metals industry); and 4) downstream manufacturers (customers of the primary metals industry).

· Demonstrate organization's value to ensure members renew their memberships.

· Encourage general members to move up to larger membership tiers, when possible—so moving more people up the membership chain if they don’t come in at a top level.

· Build engagement within member companies so that we ensure our members get maximum value out of their participation.

· Identify company points of contact and relevant roles to increase membership involvement and engagement.

· Identify subject matter experts within the metals industry for their participation and support of initiatives.

· Utilize communications and events to ensure key member company representatives receive information of upcoming opportunities and to increase involvement.

· Maintain Hubspot database of member company outreach and communications.

· Set and maintain membership goals, and related reporting support to leadership, member segment leadership, board, partners and/or other stakeholders.

· Collect and share member feedback to leadership.

· Other duties as needed & assigned by leadership.

Job Requirements

  • High performer with proven ability to identify needs of potential members and align their needs with initiatives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Prior experience in business development or sales, or transferrable skills from similar activities.
  • Ability to self-direct their own work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong sense of curiosity and interest in learning about corporate innovation initiatives.
  • Experience engaging with corporate memberships preferred.

· Experience with Client Relationship Management software.

· Ability to travel within the state up to 50%, or more..

· Bachelor’s degree preferred

Reasoning Ability

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
