Key Details:
- Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:00 am-5:00 pm
- Pay: $19-$22/hour; candidate experience and internal equity considered

Position Overview:
Our Medical Scribes accurately and thoroughly document medical visits and procedures as they are being performed by the provider. A typical day will include:
- Present pertinent information to the provider prior to entering the patient room.
- Anticipate provider needs to facilitate clinic flow.
- Gather patient medical history and physical exam details, including skin cancer history, surgical procedures, and treatments.
- Upload and label appropriate photo documentation.
- Provide patient education materials and written instructions.
- Prepare referral letters as directed by the provider.
- Prepare and send electronic prescriptions.
- Prepare laboratory and pathology requisitions.
- Assist with in-room setup and procedures as needed.
- Support other clinic functions as time allows (e.g., room stocking, laundry).
- Follow all clinic protocols and policies, including HIPAA compliance.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 months of medical scribe experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in a physical science field such as biology, chemistry, genetics, microbiology, health science, etc., OR completion of college-level courses in Anatomy and Physiology (may be taken separately or as a combined course).
- Experience working in hospital, clinic, dermatology, aesthetics, medspa, primary care, or outpatient settings.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to exercise good judgment.
- Excellent spelling, grammar, and knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Compliance with all required Oregon healthcare immunizations or appropriate exemptions.
- Participation in reference checks and pre-employment background checks upon hire.
