PDEC scribes directly play a vital role in the care of our patients. Our scribes are responsible for charting, assisting with medical procedures, educating & instructing patients, and providing resources & education to patients. They work alongside their doctor and are a valued part of each patient visit.
This job is a great fit for someone who is looking to expand their medical knowledge, with the potential goal of going to physician’s assistant or medical school.
Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe medical notes and documentation during patient visits.
- Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) with patient information and medical history.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and precise medical documentation.
- Understand and apply medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology in daily tasks.
- Assist in managing medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Support the medical team in various administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Proficient in medical transcription and documentation
