- Pay: $75,000 – $85,000 DOE

Who You Are: You’re a hands-on professional with a deep understanding of property management financials and a passion for leading teams. You bring a sharp eye for detail, a collaborative approach, and the ability to balance daily operations with big-picture strategy. With experience in both accounting and property management systems, you’re ready to take ownership of processes and help build strong financial infrastructure as we grow.
Other qualifications include:
- 2 years’ experience in property management accounting; with demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles as they relate to property management
- Experienced in leading and managing a team
- Familiarity with property management software programs, Appfolio is a plus
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field; or the equivalency through relevant work experience
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and professional references check
What You’ll Do: As the Property Accounting Manager, you’ll lead the day-to-day operations of our accounting team, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all financial activities. You’ll collaborate with property managers and stakeholders to support the financial health of our portfolio, oversee reporting, budgeting, and reconciliations, and manage vendor relationships for key functions like payroll and A/P. This role offers the opportunity to help shape processes, guide a growing team, and play a vital role in our continued success as a trusted property management firm.
A typical day will consist of:
- Lead and mentor the accounting team, ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly and deadlines are consistently met
- Collaborate with property managers and stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and maintain strong financial oversight
- Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, A/P and A/R, bank reconciliations, audits, and utility bill back processes
- Manage CAPEX requests and reserves, ensuring accurate tracking, capitalization, and monthly transfers
- Maintain compliance with all filings, including property taxes, insurance, mortgage payments, and 1099 preparation
- Review and reconcile property management software reports, commercial leases, and forecast NNN/CAM charges
