Job Overview :
GRCC is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to lead a payroll team and ensure smooth, accurate payroll processing. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing payroll operations, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, and developing policies and procedures to optimize payroll processes. You will collaborate closely with HR and Finance to maintain accurate employee records, manage payroll system upgrades, and provide essential financial reports to leadership. Additionally, you will handle escalated payroll issues, resolve discrepancies, and oversee payroll audits to ensure internal controls are effectively maintained.
Responsibilities :
- Managing the payroll team and overseeing payroll processing.
- Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Developing and implementing payroll policies and procedures.
- Coordinating with HR and Finance to ensure accurate employee records and financial reporting.
- Handling escalated payroll issues and resolving discrepancies.
- Managing payroll system implementations and upgrades.
- Preparing payroll reports and providing financial insights to leadership.
- Overseeing audits related to payroll and ensuring internal controls are in place.
