We are working with McNees Wallace and Nurick LLC to find a ROCKSTAR Director of Talent and Acquisition.

The Director of Talent Acquisition will lead a team of professionals in identifying, attracting, and hiring top legal talent across all levels of the Firm. They will be responsible for the development and oversight of top-tier talent strategies, recruitment programs, and the Firm’s workforce recruitment analytics.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy aligned with the firm's overall business objectives and strategic growth plans.
- Lead and participate in all aspects of the recruitment process from initial sourcing and screening to interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding.
- Manage and optimize all recruitment channels including job boards, social media, employee referrals, and professional networking events.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with law schools, legal recruiting agencies, and other relevant professional organizations.
- Partner with the Business Development and Marketing team to align the employment brand with Firm branding initiatives.
- Track and analyze key recruitment metrics to measure the effectiveness of recruitment efforts and identify areas for improvement.
- Support lateral hiring initiatives including identifying and pursuing qualified lateral candidates, conducting competitive market research, and developing targeted recruitment campaigns.
- Develop streamlined processes for acquiring talent and creating a superior onboarding experience through relevant programs and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
- Discover and implement the necessary training for our Talent Acquisition team to enhance their skills and advance in their careers.
- Offer support with multiple programs that drive talent toward the Firm, including, but not limited to, CAMP, LEAP, Mentor Pods, innovative policy changes, and other forward-looking programs.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in talent acquisition.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations as well as Firm policies.
Requirements
- Ability to work onsite at any one of McNees' 11 locations in the PA, OH, MD or DC area plus 20% travel to the others.
- Highly motivated and organized with the ability to work independently.
- Solid understanding of labor laws, regulations and HR policies.
- Results-oriented with a passion for building high-performing teams.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and HR software systems.
- Instinctively creates welcoming relationships with all levels of the Firm as well as potential talent looking to explore the Firm for employment.
- Strong work ethic and a clear understanding of the requirement for confidentiality as related to clients, employees, and employee matters.
- Ability to adhere to an employer-set work schedule, with reasonable flexibility for projects or workload needs.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree required. Transferable experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
- Experience in full-cycle recruitment, with a strong focus on legal recruitment.
- Minimum of 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
