Lackawanna Valley Dermatology Associates Lackawanna Valley Dermatology Associates, Limited has provided excellent dermatologic care to Northeastern Pennsylvania and surrounding areas since 1978. Our practice has two state-of-the-art offices located in downtown Scranton, and Kingston, PA.
We are a comprehensive dermatology practice comprised of seven board certified general dermatologists. We provide our patients with the finest care in general dermatology, pediatric dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, Mohs skin cancer surgery, and laser treatments. We provide the highest quality patient care, and our practice helps serve thousands of patients each and every year.
We are seeking a HR Business Partner to managing all aspects of human resources for the practice.
Job Summary: This role will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, driving HR initiatives that support our business goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of HR best practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Employee Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, providing guidance and support to managers and employees.
- Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve employee morale and engagement.
- Work closely with supervisors to address performance issues and implement corrective action plans.
Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, from posting job openings on really and other platforms to coordinating interviews and extending offers.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies.
- Conduct phone screenings and schedule in-person interviews.
- Manage background checks and reference checks.
- Lead new hire onboarding, including reviewing company policies, procedures, and benefits, ensuring a smooth and positive transition.
- Prepare and process all new hire paperwork, including I-9s, payroll forms, and handbook distribution.
- Conduct new hire orientation sessions, covering essential topics such as office policies, PTO requests, timekeeping, HIPAA compliance, and workplace safety.
- Coordinate introductions to physicians for relevant clinical roles.
Performance Management:
- Coordinate and administer the performance review process, ensuring timely and effective feedback.
- Provide guidance to managers on performance management best practices.
- Maintain accurate performance records.
Benefits Administration:
- Serve as the primary liaison with our benefits provider.
- Manage open enrollment process, ensuring accurate and timely communication to employees.
- Answer employee questions regarding benefits plans and resolve benefits-related issues.
Compensation:
- Conduct market research and analysis to ensure competitive compensation practices.
- Provide recommendations for salary adjustments and incentive programs.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR records.
- Manage OSHA compliance and training.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of HR experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with QuickBooks payroll.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Ability to work in an office full time.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
