Our client, The University of San Francisco (USF) is looking to fill the CAP Student Advisor Program Assistant position.

The University of San Francisco is currently seeking a highly motivated organized educational advocate to work in the College Access Program within the University and the affiliated CAPS schools. This part-time position is located onsite.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide academic advising to students at an assigned CAP target school, offering guidance on college admissions and financial aid processes
  • Identify and recruit eligible applicants for the program
  • Assess and evaluate students’ educational needs and academic potential
  • Support academic success by referring students with a GPA below a C to tutorial and academic support services
  • Assist in planning and delivering group workshops, both in-person at target schools and virtually
  • Perform administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and managing phone and email communications
  • Maintain accurate student records and assist with preparing correspondence, flyers, and other program materials
  • Attend and assist with program orientations, workshops, presentations, field trips, and meetings
  • Flexibility to participate in weekend and evening events as required
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support program goals

Qualifications:

  • Passionate about programs designed to identify and provide services for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds
  • Experienced in operating various office equipment including copiers, fax machines, scanners, and calculators
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
  • Exceptional time management and organizational abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior experience working with middle and high school youth in academic/educational outreach programs
  • Proficient with computer applications, including Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite

Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour
