What are the responsibilities and job description for the Groundskeeper position at HR Personal?
We are looking to hire a Groundskeeper to take care of an estate in Parkdale, OR. This individual will be responsible for the care and maintenance of the home (inside and out), trail, pond, grounds, and garden.
This role requires someone who has experience maintaining an estate and enjoys working outside to make sure the homes and grounds are maintained to the highest degree.
Building and Grounds Maintenance duties:
- Oversee all aspects of landscaping, multiple lawns, tree care, irrigation, and maintaining trails and pond.
- Inventory and purchasing for all grounds care related supplies.
- Care and daily operation of main house and cottage.
- General carpentry on home and other structures.
- Oversee all systems including electrical/generator, HVAC, security, plumping, all lighting, entertainment and internet.
- Clean and attend to fireplaces, exterior of house and windows, and hardscapes; garbage and recycling.
- Coordinate with partner to schedule and meet with vendors and service persons as needed.
- Set up and prepare for special parties and events at property.
- Coordinate with crews (i.e. lighting, tents, furniture).
- Provide assistance with parking and greet guests.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience, training, skills required:
- A minimum of 3 years' related experience.
- Ability to live on the property full-time.
- Be responsible, reliable, trustworthy, caring and well presented.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be organized, a multi-tasker and detail-oriented.
