Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture.
- Have completed or in the process of completing the Landscape Architect Registration Exam (LARE).
- Basic AutoCAD and/or KeyScape software skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Interest in our natural environment.
- Interest in parks and recreation design and construction.
- Interest in planning and asset management.
- Willing to be part of a team-oriented environment, while functioning independently.
- Must have a valid Driver's License.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside a Landscape Architect and Civil Engineers with CAD Design and specification writing, for the design and construction engineering of exterior spaces, trails and landscapes.
- Attending field visits of parks, commercial, industrial and municipal facilities for project scoping design services and construction engineering.
- Assisting with coordination of projects with other HRC disciplines (Landscape Architectural, Structural, Architectural, Survey, Enviromental)
- Project communication and coordination with outside entities such then Michigan Department of Environmental, Great Lakes and Energy (EGLE) and other authorities having jurisdiction for site planning and design.
- Assist in Construction Engineering, reviewing Contractor project submittals, applications for payment, through post-construction evaluation.
- Assisting with and preparing written communications and planning documents with agencies, contractors and subcontractors, outside consultants and firm staff.
