Job Summary :
As a PEO (Professional Employer Organization) Benefits Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in managing and administering employee benefit programs for client companies. Reporting to the PEO Benefits Manager, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the effective implementation and ongoing management of various employee benefits offerings, including but not limited to health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness programs.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including enrollment, eligibility verification, and claims resolution. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, and other relevant laws and regulations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for client companies regarding employee benefits-related inquiries, providing expert guidance and support. Conduct regular meetings with clients to discuss benefit plan options, changes, and updates.
- Collaborate with benefit plan vendors, brokers, and carriers to negotiate competitive rates, review contracts, and resolve service issues. Maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure smooth operations and excellent service delivery.
- Assist in the design and implementation of new benefit programs or modifications to existing plans based on client needs, industry trends, and regulatory changes. Coordinate communication and education efforts to promote employee understanding and participation in benefit offerings.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations governing employee benefits programs. Prepare and submit required reports and filings accurately and in a timely manner.
- Develop and execute strategies to educate employees about their benefit options, including conducting benefit orientations, workshops, and wellness initiatives. Encourage employee engagement and participation in available programs.
- Analyze benefit utilization data, trends, and metrics to evaluate program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. Generate regular reports for clients and internal stakeholders to track key performance indicators and measure program success.
