- The Human Resources Assistant works alongside the Human Resources Director, and Manager to provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes quality, productivity and standards and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.
Responsibilities
- Maintains employee information by entering and updating employment, status change data, PTO accruals, etc.
- Acts as receptionist , answering general questions and assisting guests and employees.
- Organizes outside job applicants, maintains applications for internal job postings and coordinates in-processing with hiring managers.
- Assists with new hire paperwork.
- Conducts in-processing of new employees and acts as main point of contact during employee's hiring process and first day of training.
- Assists in open enrollment process, ensuring data is accurate and entered into employee files in a timely and orderly manner.
- Acts as first point of contact for employee requests and/or grievances, ensuring that chain of command is followed and escalating to Human Resources Director or department manager when necessary.
- Gathers and distributes mail and packages to the office.
- Assists in monitoring unemployment claims, responding in a timely manner and providing substantiating documentation when necessary.
- Maintains professional communication with all employees and vendors, always ensuring confidentiality.
- Advises management regarding employee relations, employment law-related issues and human resources policies and procedures.
- Assists, when necessary, in investigations of employee relations and workers comp issues.
- Ensures organization of all HR paperwork and employee files, seeking to improve efficiency and communication when possible.
- Maintains job descriptions, policies and procedures, particularly for general and company-wide policies.
- Performs all responsibilities in compliance with State and Federal laws and regulations, the Colorado Limited Gaming Act and company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Colorado Support Gaming License is Required!
- Must be profiecinet in Computer Programs
