The Project Manager- HR Total Rewards is primarily responsible for the management of medium to Large sized projects for the HR Total Rewards division. The Project Manager- HR Total Rewards will manage projects from project conception until completion, and ensure proper communication, utilization of resources, and reporting is managed throughout the project lifecycle. The Project Manager- HR Total Rewards will assist HR leadership with the creation and implementation of project management processes.
- Task and Resource Management.
- Ability to anticipate problems and escalate if appropriate.
- Oversees the assigned personnel for the project and their work related to the project in conjunction with functional management.
- Works collaboratively with functional management to ensure project needs are being meet by the staff assigned to assist with the project and timelines are met.
- Develops work breakdown structures and action plans and executes them to improve project success.
- Work with vendors as needed to ensure the delivery of contracted work.
- Skilled Communicator.
- Communicate project status on a regular basis to management, stakeholders, and team members.
- Establishes timely and effective communication with project team, stakeholders and sponsors to keep them aware of project progress.
- Will need to create ad hoc reports as needed when specific projects dictate.
- Respectfully question stakeholders and identify realistic and idealistic requirements.
- Provide timely communication and respond promptly.
- Follow up with project sponsors and mangers to ensure that projects documented correctly.
- Organize, facilitate, and administer the flow of communication materials, schedules, project requests, and timelines, between internal and external stakeholders.
- Accountability.
- Ensures project deliverable compliance with all regulatory agency requirements (e.g., JCAHO, HIPAA Security).
- Proactively identifies potential and actual project risks, documents and identifies the underlying causes, and makes necessary decisions so risk is reduced.
- Communicates issues as they arise in a professional and solution-oriented manner.
- Human Resource Management.
- Sets the team example by maintaining a positive attitude at all times.
- Identify and escalate issues and conflicts within the project team as appropriate.
- Ensures that all employees in the department know what is to be accomplished in their jobs.
- Financial Resource Management.
- Monitors accomplishment of agreed upon financial performance at the project level; and where appropriate recommends modifications to established plans.
- Responsible for the tracking of Bassett Medical Center projects, in terms of budget with actual expenses.
- Tracks procurement documentation as necessary to ensure that project resources are purchased on time.
- Develops documentation as needed to improve financial predictive and reporting capabilities.
- Project Management Information System.
- Utilizes the project management information system as the primary planning, tracking and reporting tool.
- Monitors project progress through the review and planning stages to ensure appropriate progress is being made.
- Regularly assesses opportunities to enhance system and process performance.
- Performs similar or related duties as requested or directed.
Education:
- 4 year / Bachelor's Degree, required
- High School Diploma with an additional 4 years of project management experience may be considered
- Experience may be considered in lieu of education
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years Project management experience managing medium to large projects, required
Licensure/Certifications:
- PMI Certification (CAPM or PMP), preferred

Physical Requirements:
