Position Summary
As an Appliance, Kitchen & Bath and Flooring Sales Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assisting guests with their countertops, flooring and appliance needs, providing expert advice, and ensuring they find the perfect solutions for their projects. You will be responsible for driving sales, maintaining product knowledge, and delivering outstanding customer service in the flooring department.
Responsibilities:
Guest Assistance:
- Greet and assist guests in the Appliance, Kitchen & Bath and Flooring department, understanding their needs and preferences.
- Provide in-depth product knowledge and educate customers on various product options, including materials, styles, and installation methods.
- Guide guests through the selection process, offering recommendations based on their specific requirements.
Sales and Product Knowledge:
- Achieve and exceed sales targets by actively engaging with guests and promoting products.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, product features, and advancements in product technology.
- Collaborate with the sales team to create effective promotions and marketing strategies for department products.
Guest Service:
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and returns in a professional and timely manner.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business and positive word-of-mouth.
Merchandising and Inventory:
- Ensure the department is well-maintained, organized, and visually appealing.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels, collaborating with the inventory control team to optimize stock levels.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments to provide a seamless shopping experience for guests.
- Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers to stay informed about new products and industry developments.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in retail sales, with a focus on countertop sales, flooring, appliances or related home improvement products.
- Strong knowledge of various countertop, flooring, appliance materials
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Sales-driven with a customer-centric approach.
- Technology Proficiency: Comfort with using point-of-sale systems and other technology to process orders and payments.
Availability Needed:
- Must be available to work one evening until 7pm and most Saturdays.
- Store Hours are Monday-Friday 6am-7pm and Saturday 7am-5pm
