Outdoor Power Repair Coordinator
Reports to: Outdoor Power Repair, Rental, and Service Manager
About the position: The Outdoor Power Repair Shop Coordinator helps our repair area work efficiently, safely, and as cleanly as possible. The shop coordinator works closely with our technicians and drivers to help provide parts and “next up” equipment throughout the work day. This position requires someone with an interest in small engine repair and a general understanding of their operation. This position requires a dedicated person who has a strong “get your hands dirty” work ethic, quick adaptability, a basic understanding of equipment, computer skills, and above all a desire to serve their fellow team members and guest needs.
Essential Responsibilities:
Stages equipment for service techs and the rental department throughout the day.
Prepares the triage process for incoming equipment.
Helps check in and load/unload equipment as needed at the counter.
Helps keep staging areas clean and organized.
Cleans incoming and outgoing equipment.
Picks up needed parts for technicians and the parts department.
Observes all safety and security procedures and reports potentially unsafe conditions while using equipment properly.
Performs additional duties at the direction of the shop foreman or service manager.
Essential Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age in order to drive a forklift.
Small engine repair and maintenance knowledge.
Can lift 70 pounds continuously.
Able and willing to climb an 8 foot high ladder.
Can work in a quick paced environment while adapting to changes quickly.
Available to work occasional evenings and Saturdays.
Must have a clean driving record.
Able to take on tasks by themselves with little to no supervision.
