HRP’s Farmington, CT office, has an immediate full-time opportunity for an individual with 2 to 5 years of experience in accounts receivable to join our accounting department. This is an opportunity for a self-motivated professional interested in a career in a fast-paced and flexible work environment.RESPONSIBILITIES : This position may include the following tasks on a day-to-day or monthly schedule :
- Prepares, posts, verifies, and records customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable
- Reconcile and post credit card transactions
- Drafts correspondence for standard past-due accounts and collections, and identifies delinquent accounts by reviewing files and contacting delinquent account holders to request payment
- Records and tracks invoice submittals to clients, including electronic or mailed invoices
- Reconciles client invoice discrepancies
- Interfaces with collection agency
- Tracks client bankruptcy court filings
- Sends out monthly A / R statements
- Maintains subcontractor insurance database
- Assists in project setups and completes project closings
- Provides concise documentation of notes and records for all transactions
This position will Interact with all departments throughout the regional HRP offices and serve as backup for other accounting personnel. The listed responsibilities are not exhaustive, may change at any time, and HRP may assign additional duties as needed.PREFERRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE :

For the Accounts Receivable Clerk position, we anticipate an hourly base pay of $21.00 to $26.00 USD. An employee’s pay position within this range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. We also may have instances where compensation may be outside of the range, based on the factors noted above.
