Summary:
Mistick Construction, a leading Pittsburgh-based general contractor specializing in wood frame multi-family housing is seeking qualified candidates for a Preconstruction/Estimator Executive. We are an award-winning builder providing services in the areas of preconstruction, general contracting who specializes in collaborative relationships with our clients. Past projects range from $5 million to over $50 million. Projects include affordable and market rate multi-family residential, student housing, skilled nursing, assisted and independent living.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee the preconstruction preparation and strategy of all projects to include:
o Estimating
o Scheduling
o Budgeting
o Project Conditions
o Staffing & Productivity
· Successful candidate’s responsibilities will span a broad spectrum including, but not limited to:
o Client Satisfaction
o Project Planning and Preconstruction
o Cost, Time & Quality Management
o Contract Administration
o Organizational Development and Growth
o Build and maintain subcontractor base
· This position involves working directly with the executive team of the company as well as project managers and superintendents. You will be a collaborating partner in maintaining relationships with our clients and subcontractors. We require excellent communication skills for this position.
Job Qualifications:
· 10 years experience in wood frame construction, estimating, engineering, or architecture.
· Experience in the multi-family construction industry – preferably also with tax credit housing.
· Candidates should have experience in the design-built delivery systems.
· Strong interpersonal skills, ability to drive outcomes with effective verbal and written communication skills.
· In depth working understanding of construction trades and building systems, documentation processes, operations, and industry knowledge.
· Solid budgeting and financial exposure and experience.
· Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Project, Excel and Word.
· Detailed oriented with a passion for building knowledge.
