Job Title:
Administrative Support Analyst (Defense, Military)

Type of Position:
6 to 12 month contract to hire position.

Candidate Requirements:

  • This position is only open to US Citizens and Permanent Residents (Green Card holders). Candidates requiring visa sponsorship or holding work authorizations such as H-1B, F-1, or TN visas are not eligible for any positions with this company.
  • Due to the nature of this role with a defense contractor supporting the federal government, candidates will be required to pass a comprehensive drug screening, which includes testing for cannabis. No exceptions will be made, including for medical cannabis prescriptions or state-level legalizations.

Job Location:
New Boston, TX (on site at the Red River Army Depot).

Compensation:
$22.37/hr to start. Overtime paid at 1.5x over 40 hours.

Overview:
HRU Technical Resources has partnered with a major defense contractor to hire an Administrative Support Analyst to work on site at the Red River Army Depot (RRAD). This position is supporting an armored vehicles program at the Depot. Candidates need to have intermediate to advanced Excel skills, experience working with enterprise databases, be able to do presentations, and submit reports (regular and ad hoc). Key Responsibilities:
Administrative & Program Support

  • Plan and execute daily administrative tasks to support the direct customer program.
  • Maintain calendars for multiple program team members.
  • Plan, coordinate, and prepare for meetings, program events, and technical reviews.
  • Take and distribute meeting minutes in a formatted report.
  • Manage new hire onboarding, office moves, and termination closeouts.

Data & Document Management

  • Create and format reports, presentations, communications, and statistical documents per program requirements.
  • Transfer and manage data between Excel spreadsheets and the EFIR database.
  • Collect, format, edit, and submit weekly reports.

Process Improvement & Program Development

  • Develop, implement, and refine processes to improve program efficiency.
  • Meet regularly with the program manager to assess and address program needs.

Customer & Stakeholder Interaction

  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external customers, ensuring professional communication.
  • Coordinate security access for visitors and greet guests.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with the onsite and external program teams, including stakeholders at the Red River Army Depot Partnership.

General Responsibilities

  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills, Experience, Education Required:

  • We are generally seeking 3 years of relevant professional experience. Candidates must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. Candidates with higher level education (a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree) will be considered with less experience.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency, with Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, complex formulas, pivot tables, etc.). Presentation skills using PowerPoint are also required.
  • Strong research, analysis, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to develop solutions to moderately complex problems.
  • Database management experience.
  • Editing and proofreading proficiency.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Critical thinking and analytic reasoning.
  • Solid organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively under pressure.
  • Collaborative mindset with confident decision-making abilities.
  • Adaptability and dependability.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Work Environment:

  • This is a 1st (day) shift role that works a 4/10 schedule (10 hour days, 4 days per week).
  • Due to the complexity of the work and processes, this position requires onsite presence. No remote work.
  • There will be occasional overtime in this role. Any OT will be paid at 1.5x.
  • Offer will be contingent upon a drug screen (which includes cannabis) and criminal background check.
