Job Title:

Type of Position:
6 month contract position. This is a temporary role which will assist with various project ramp ups. While it’s not expected for this role to last beyond 6 months, this could be a “foot in the door” to the organization in the future.
Job Location:
Spartanburg, SC (100% on site role).
Compensation:
$32.00/hr to $46.00/hr. We are hiring for multiple openings, and the hiring managers are open to different levels of experience (hence the broad pay range). Overtime will be paid at 1.5x.
Candidate Requirements:
This role is with a major defense contractor and is subject to federal government requirements. Due to the nature of the work and security clearance requirements, this position is open only to U.S. citizens. Permanent Residents (Green Card holders), H1B visa holders, and other work-authorized individuals are not eligible. While a Secret clearance is not required to start, candidates must be eligible to obtain one, which is only available to U.S. citizens. Additionally, candidates must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening, which includes testing for cannabis in compliance with federal regulations. Exceptions, including medical marijuana cards, cannot be accommodated.

Job Description:
HRU Technical Resources has partnered with a major defense contractor and specialty vehicle manufacturer to hire a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP). This role will support the HR Manager or Director in all functional areas of the HR department, with a strong emphasis on recruitment, candidate review/interviews, i9 processing, and onboarding. The HRBP will be integral to implementing HR best practices and fostering a positive relationship between personnel and senior management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide HR support to a business unit/functional area, including recruitment, employment documentation, job evaluation, compensation, and benefits.
- Act as a liaison between departments/divisions.
- Support smaller HR functions under the guidance of a higher-level HRBP.
- Assist other HRBPs responsible for larger functions.
- Administer HR policies and procedures covering two or more functional areas.
- Collect and analyze HR data, making recommendations to management.
- Prepare internal employee communications regarding compensation, benefits, and company policies.
- Deliver presentations to explain HR policies, ensuring compliance and understanding.
- Develop and propose improvements to policies, programs, and procedures to enhance HR and operational effectiveness.
- Assist in resolving employee relations issues and administering disciplinary actions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Three (3) or more years of relevant HR experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Workday (not required)
- Certified Professional HR (PHR) or Senior Professional HR (SPHR).
- Understanding of HR best practices and current regulations.
- Ability to establish strong partnerships with functional and business leaders to develop and execute HR strategies.
- Innovative, future-oriented, and open to new ideas.
- Willingness to challenge the status quo and influence change.
- Ability to build team morale and promote corporate culture.
Work Environment, Other Info:
- 1st (day) shift role.
- This will be a 100% on site role in Spartanburg, SC (no remote work).
