Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical/Electronic Technician to join our Electrical Lab in Minneapolis, MN. This role is vital for the fabrication of micro and nano electronic products and support equipment, involving assembly, testing, inspection, troubleshooting, rework, and repair.
Required Skills:
- Proficient use of electronic test equipment, electrical assembly tools, and hand tools.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches.
- Precision and fine motor skills required for micro/nano-scale fabrication, assembly, and testing with near-zero defects.
- Demonstrate a high degree of mechanical aptitude.
- Conduct tests using electronics test equipment (e.g., scopes, meters) and generate test report data.
- Ability to work as part of a group/team.
- Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to communicate feedback to the team to support design, fabrication, and test improvements.
- Experience with Cirris and/or Automated Test Equipment.
- Troubleshooting skills for electronic and electrical systems.
- Trained and proficient in manufacturing and quality requirements (IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3, IPC-610 Class 3, and J-STD-001) or possess knowledge of these standards.
Work Experience Required:
- 2-year technical degree or a minimum of 2 years as a technician performing related tasks, either in a production or prototype environment.
