Objective:
The Electronics Technician is responsible for assembling, installing, troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electronic equipment and systems. This role requires a deep understanding of electronics, components, and circuitry, as well as the ability to read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams.
PAY: $20 - $25 Based on Experience
HOURS: 7:00am - 3:30pm
Location: Woodville. WI
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Installation and Assembly:
- Assemble, install, and set up electronic equipment and systems according to technical specifications and schematics.
- Perform soldering and wiring tasks to assemble components and circuits.
- Maintenance and Repair:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic systems and components to identify malfunctions or faults.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electronic devices and equipment.
- Repair or replace defective parts such as motors, transformers, resistors, and capacitors
- Testing and Calibration:
- Test and calibrate electronic equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with specifications.
- Use testing instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators to analyze systems.
- Documentation:
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Create reports and logs for completed work and any system modifications.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure that all repairs and installations comply with safety standards and regulations.
- Follow best practices to ensure the safe operation of electronic systems and components. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with engineers, other technicians, and project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within specifications.
- Provide technical support and training to junior technicians or end-users when required. Qualifications:
EDUCATION:
- Associate’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field. Certification as an Electronics Technician is a plus.
- Experience: 2-5 years of experience in electronics maintenance, repair, or troubleshooting. •
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams and schematics.
- Skilled in using electronic test equipment and diagnostic tools (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes).
- Strong knowledge of circuitry, microcontrollers, and soldering techniques.
- Familiarity with digital and analog electronics.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills. Work Environment:
- Work may be performed in laboratories, production floors, or in field environments.
- Occasional lifting and moving of electronic equipment may be required.
