Veteran-owned firm Seeking a Part-Time Receptionist for an assignment in Washington, D.C.

One of our newest clients is looking for a part-time receptionist. The ideal candidate will have 5 years of experience as a receptionist or in a front desk role, experience with digital ticketing systems (such as Zendesk, Freshdesk, or similar), and a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional office management or administrative certifications are a plus.

Executive Summary : HRUCKUS is seeking a Part-Time Receptionist with over 5 years of experience to work 3 days a week across two locations in Washington, DC.

Job Summary : We are looking for a friendly, professional, and organized Part-Time Receptionist to provide excellent administrative support across our two locations in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will manage front-desk operations, including answering phones, welcoming guests, performing various administrative tasks, and efficiently managing a ticketing system to track inquiries and requests.

Key Responsibilities :

Front Desk Management :

  • Greet visitors and clients with a warm, professional demeanor.
  • Ensure the reception area is neat and presentable.

Telephone and Communication Support :

  • Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls.
  • Respond to basic inquiries and forward messages as needed.
  • Administrative Tasks :

  • Perform routine office duties such as filing, scanning, and data entry.
  • Manage mail distribution and office supply inventory.
  • Ticketing System Management :

  • Use a digital ticketing system to log, track, and manage incoming inquiries and requests.
  • Update ticket statuses and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Coordinate with other departments as necessary to address and resolve tickets.
  • Position Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; additional office management or administrative certifications are a plus.
  • 5 years of prior experience as a receptionist or front desk is preferred.
  • Experience with digital ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Freshdesk, or similar) or a strong willingness to learn such systems.
  • Experience with Salesforce or a similar ticketing system.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks across multiple locations.
  • Proficiency in standard office software (e.g., MS Office, Google Workspace).
