HS Customs, located in Logan, Utah - is seeking an experienced autobody technician to join our team of professionals. We are currently seeking the right candidate for our immediate need in our autobody department. The right candidate should be able to "hit the ground running". We are not a production / collision repair shop; every project requires an extreme attention to detail and the desire to get the job done right, without sacrificing quality or “cutting corners”. Pay depends on experience (DOE). We are not currently looking to train an individual. Responsibilities
Responsibilities & Requirements: Previous experience and or training with references, reliable form of transportation, valid driver’s license, solid work ethic, calm demeanor, positive attitude, extreme attention to detail, must be punctual and on-time, must provide own basic hand tools, have basic math skills, ability to work well with others. Must be physically able to: Stand, sit, stoop, kneel, and bend for long periods of time. Lift objects up to 50 pounds. Working conditions vary from: temperate, cold, hot and dusty. Candidate must be willing and able to utilize personal protective equipment such as masks, respirators, gloves, face shield, safety glasses, ear plugs, etc.
Qualifications
Desirable qualifications: Previous automotive painting experience, previous paint and body work in a reputable shop. Sheet metal skills such as replacing quarter panels, floors, understanding of metal finishing techniques, knowledge of plastic body fillers and how/where to use them, priming and blocking surfaces and what it takes to make a straight car.
Qualified candidate must have own basic hand tools: sanding blocks, drills, impacts, grinders, DA's, socket set, screw drivers, hammers, combo wrenches and all other tools associated with body work.
