HSAGP (Hyundai-SK America Green power) Energy LLC. is Hyundai Motor Group and SK On' s joint venture company to produce batteries for electric vehicle batteries. The joint venture plans to invest $5 billion to build an EV battery cell plant in Bartow County, Georgia. Hyundai Motor Group and SK On will each hold a 50 percent stake in the joint venture. The new plant created by the two companies is expected to start manufacturing battery cells in the first half of 2026 with an annual production capacity of 35 GWh, enough to support the production of 300,000 EVs a year. The future Bartow County plant in northwest Georgia is strategically located near Hyundai Motor Group’s existing and planned U.S. facilities. Summary:

Utility (Electrical) supervisor is responsible for managing electrical substation

facilities, measurement/control system, legal inspection and facility management. It

also includes all aspects of ensuring a safe work environment, meeting and

exceeding quality expectations, production standards, and continuous improvement

activities.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage maintenance of electrical substance and automatic control system
  • Manage attendance of the operators he/she supervises
  • Coach and train operators he/she supervises to develop utility operation skills and general/technical competencies related to the production performance
  • Appraise the operators’ performance he/she supervises and give productive feedback
  • Consult with Utility engineer/production engineering team or human resources to resolve employee relations problems for utility operators he/she supervises
  • Assign and direct work according to the production plans
  • Responsible for achieving, monitoring, and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
  • Interpret company policies and procedures to operators and ensure that safety and process/quality policies are followed
  • Recommend continuous improvement activities to improve quality and reduce cost
  • Manage Automatic Control System including the HVAC control, steam boiler, hot oil heater and PLC
  • Run, monitor, and supervise the utility operators
  • Monitor the maintenance and operation status of automatic control system
  • Report incidents or malfunctions of equipment and inquire maintenance according to the trouble correspondence manual
  • Manage and support utility production environment improvement in light of 3R (Right material, Right quantity, Right position) and 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain)
  • Responsible for on-site EHS management activities
  • Manage electrical substation and the inventory

Education: High School Diploma or GED (General Education Development)

Experience:

  • Broad knowledge of electrical utility and tools obtained through work experience
  • (Preferred) Relevant electrical substation utility management experience in manufacturing environment

Language skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization in English

Computer skills:

  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Physical & Mental Demands:

  • In the office: Must wear the company-provided uniform
  • In the production site: Must wear the company-provided uniform and PPE including safety shoes, safety helmet (hard hat), safety glasses/safety goggles, portable gas measuring device

  • Production/construction site
  • Risk of electric shock: Electrical substation(25kV and below voltage level), production facility substation, distribution board, production facility control panel, socket-outlet, etc.
  • Risk of high temperature: 104~122°F outside the quarter dryer, hot oil boiler (356~392°F)
  • Risk of explosion/noise: Discrete gas explosion in electric room, noise (approx. 65db)

  • Advanced understanding of UT facility
  • Advanced troubleshooting ability to deal with facility malfunctions
  • Advanced understanding of measuring tools and methods
  • Ability to manage and prioritize workload
  • Prepare routine documentation as required under limited supervision
  • Ability to solve problems related to utility (electrical) that might require analysis to understand
