ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Set-Up Technician should have knowledge of metal stamping and/or experience in a manufacturing environment. Relay quality and production issues to management. Exhibit a strong attention to detail and be a thorough communicator within all levels of the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Setup brake and punch presses from 18T to 225T
· Produce parts to meet production standards (number and quality of pieces) including measuring for compliance standards & reading and interpreting blueprints
· Capable of setting up short to medium run stage and progressive tooling
· Setup production tooling and material feeders
· Troubleshoot causes when parts do not conform to customer specifications
· Understand the basics of production tooling and equipment
· Maintain quality and safety standards
· Maintain general housekeeping in the work area
· Ability to stand/sit up to 10 hours per day and lift up to 40 pounds
· Ability to acquire and maintain forklift license; operate a forklift in a safe and productive manner
· Perform other duties as needed to continue the operation of the shop in the most productive and efficient manner
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
· 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience
· Be able to read and interpret blueprints and job routings, GD&T a plus
· Be proficient in the use of calipers, micrometer, height gauge, gauge pins and drop through gauges
· Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently in order to derive and communicate information from manufacturing documents
· Must be able to pass a drug screening
