We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA with strong SQL Server expertise to join our team. This role is integral to building and developing the database environment for the carve-out and ensuring the stability, scalability, and performance of the database systems. Candidates with WebLogic experience will be highly regarded. Key Responsibilities :
- Design, implement, and manage Oracle and SQL Server database systems to support the carve-out environment.
- Perform database tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Develop and maintain database scripts, procedures, and related documentation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement database solutions aligned with project goals.
- Implement and maintain security protocols to protect sensitive data.
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery strategies for database systems.
- Monitor database systems for performance and capacity, addressing issues proactively.
- Support database migrations, upgrades, and patches as required.
- Leverage WebLogic expertise (if applicable) to support application server environments. Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience
- Proven experience as an Oracle DBA, with expertise in SQL Server database administration.
- Hands-on experience in database architecture, backup / recovery, and high availability solutions.
- Proficiency in database performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Experience with database migrations and working in carve-out or similar transitional projects is a plus.
- Familiarity with WebLogic application server administration is a strong advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, collaborative environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
