SUMMARY/SCOPE: Searching for Spring 2024 RA's!
The Resident Assistant (RA) is a full-time student who serves as a student leader on the Residence Life Staff. The RA position is vital to the smooth operation of the residential community at Hardin-Simmons University. It is necessary for the RA to limit extracurricular activities and to seek permission for any part-time employment or other commitments. RAs are supervised by an assigned Residence Director (RD) and service is based on a two-semester term.
Reporting directly to an assigned Residence Director (RD), RAs are para-professional student leaders who live in residence and provide intentional programs and services, including the encouragement of holistic development of residents. The RA will function as an educator and facilitator to provide residents with opportunities for growth, including interpreting and enforcing HSU policies and cultivating a Christ-Centered living area through building relationships with students that foster a sense of belonging to HSU’s residential community.
