Independant primary care clinic is seeking a Nurse Practitioner. Qualified candiate will have an interest in primary care/family medicine. Clinic is open to consider full or part time contract.
Position Overview
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will be responsible for delivering quality medical care to a diverse patient population. This includes managing chronic and acute conditions, performing health assessments, developing treatment plans, and educating patients on preventative care.
Role Responsibilities
- Perform physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and coordinate care with specialists as needed.
- Educate patients on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and prescribed treatments.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and annual wellness exams.
- Accurately document medical history, diagnoses, medications, allergies, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Alabama Nurse Practitioner (NP) license.
- Board certification through ANCC or AANP.
- Ability to work independently and practice autonomously.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and medical equipment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare partners.
