What are the responsibilities and job description for the Controller position at HTO EMP LLC?
When our founders Justin, Gary, and Kim started a small family side business serving iced tea
in Amarillo, TX back in 2009, they had no idea they were brewing up a movement. With 128
locations now open, we are searching for a Controller to support and extend our rapid growth
by leading the accounting team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller
will own the monthly close and the annual audit and collaborate closely with the Finance, AP,
and Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the month end close
Complete monthly closing binder ensure all reconciliations are completed accurately
Prepare monthly three statement financials including the Statement of Cash Flows.
Reconcile key balance sheet accounts
Manage revenue recognition
Lead AR and AP
Supervise staff, AP Manager, and Treasury Analyst
Serve as a resource to Franchise Development, Real Estate Development, HR, Legal,
and Operations.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Public Accounting experience
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
QSR and retail multi-location
7 plus years of relevant accounting experience
Technical research experience with ASC 606 and 842
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to resolve problematic business situations
with innovative solutions using discretion and independent judgement
Expert skill level in Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, Excel, Power BI, Power Point
Familiarity with big data technologies

Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
