Our client is currently seeking a talented and experienced Purchasing Manager to join their team and contribute to our continued success.Position Overview : The Purchasing Manager will oversee the procurement of goods and services, manage supplier relationships, and ensure that purchasing activities align with the company’s operational goals and budget. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong negotiation skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to optimizing cost and quality.Key Responsibilities : Develop and implement purchasing strategies to meet organizational goals.Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure quality, delivery, and compliance.Evaluate and select vendors based on price, quality, and reliability.Oversee inventory control and ensure timely availability of materials.Collaborate with internal departments to understand and fulfill purchasing needs.Analyze market trends and adjust purchasing strategies accordingly.Prepare and manage budgets for procurement activities.Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.ÂCore Competencies : Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other data and information to determine reasonable prices.Monitor and follow applicable laws and regulations.Negotiate, or renegotiate, and administer contracts with suppliers, vendors, and other representatives.Monitor shipments to ensure that goods come in on time, and in the event of problems trace shipments and follow up undelivered goods.Confer with staff, users, and vendors to discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services and determine corrective action.ÂSalary : $55-75K, based on experienceThis is a direct hire opportunity.Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their resume to LHADLEY@HTSS-INC.COM or apply through the HTSS Website.
