JOB TITLE: Events Coordinator

SALARY: D.O.Q ($19.49-$25)

JOB SUMMARY: The Events Coordinator under direction of the Chief Executive Secretary is responsible for coordinating, planning, organizing, and executing a wide range of events, including but not limited to holiday celebrations, social gatherings, and public outreach initiatives. This role requires strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building and maintaining positive relationships with the community and stakeholders.
EMPLOYMENT DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:
Event Planning & Execution:
- Coordinate with Tribal Government Departments and Programs of each event, implement calendar event, including timelines, and logistics.
- Coordinate with organizer of each event a list of their volunteers and staff to ensure smooth event execution.
- Coordinate with organizer event setup, breakdown, and cleanup completed.
- Monitor event progress and make adjustments as needed.
- Evaluate event success and identify areas for improvement.
- Promote events through various channels, including social media, radio and Gamyu community newsletters.
Holiday Event Planning:
- Follow the Event Planning & Execution Plan of Action
- Social Event Planning:
- Follow the Event Planning & Execution Plan of Action
Public Outreach:
- Coordinate with organizer of their event publication and implement public outreach campaigns to promote community events and initiatives.
- Represent the organization at community events and capturing moments through photo taking.
- Build and maintain relationships with local media outlets.
- Respond to public and organizer inquiries and address community concerns.
Social Media Management:
- Develop and maintain engaging social media content, including photos, videos, and blog posts.
- Monitor social media platforms
Other Duties as Assigned:
- Stay informed of community events and trends.
- Share Calendar of Events with Executive Team and Tribal Administration
- Maintain accurate log and calendar of all event-related activities.
- Maintain and keep accurate inventory of Administration holiday equipment and material
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND/OR SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Proven experience in social media management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Experience with graphic design software a plus.
