What are the responsibilities and job description for the Corporate Finance Manager position at Hub Group?
Essential Job Functions
- Monthly Reporting – Supervise the preparation of the monthly results reporting process to ensure that the monthly books are completed accurately and distributed timely. Develop consistency and best practices.
- Variance Analysis – Provide support to the CFO and business leaders in their reviews of the monthly results. Investigate unusual results and provide explanations of P&L variances after month-end close.
- Budgets – Work with the Finance Directors to develop a budget. Share ideas for best practices for the budget process. Consolidate the Business Unit budgets to produce the consolidated Hub Group budget. Upload the budget into the accounting system. Analyze actual results versus budget.
- Competitor Analysis – Gather, review and summarize the results of Hub Group’s competitors, peer group and suppliers
- Forecast – Work with the Finance Directors to develop a forecast. Consolidate the Business Unit forecasts to produce the consolidated Hub Group forecast and review for reasonableness. Report and analyze the actual results versus the forecast.
- P&L Reporting - Provide monthly P&L Reporting for the IT team. Continue to improve reporting processes through systems integration.
- Manage and develop internal financial analyst
- Any other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Salary : $95,000 - $115,000 / year base salary bonus
This is an estimated range based on the circumstances at the time of posting, however it may change based on a combination of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, education, market factors, geographical location, budget, and demand.
