Position: Joist Line Manufacturing Supervisor

Duties:
1. Lead and manage the joist manufacturing line, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of all production activities.

2. Supervise a team of production workers, providing clear direction, guidance, and training to ensure they perform their tasks effectively and efficiently.

3. Coordinate with the production planning team to prioritize orders and schedule production runs to meet customer demands and delivery timelines.

4. Monitor the manufacturing process to maintain quality control standards and ensure that all products meet or exceed specifications.

5. Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure that equipment is properly maintained and to troubleshoot and address any mechanical issues to minimize downtime.

6. Implement and enforce safety protocols, promoting a culture of safety and ensuring that all team members adhere to company safety policies and procedures.

7. Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency enhancements, and cost-saving initiatives.

8. Prepare and maintain production reports, including output, downtime, and quality metrics, and provide regular updates to management.

9. Conduct performance evaluations for the production team, recognizing achievements and providing constructive feedback for areas of improvement.

10. Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to apply innovative approaches to improve the manufacturing process.

Skills:
1. Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in joist manufacturing or a related field

2. Strong knowledge of joist manufacturing processes, including roll forming, welding, and assembly on the manufacturing line

3. Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment

4. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick decisions under pressure

5. Familiarity with safety regulations and a commitment to ensuring a safe working environment

6. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly

7. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate with team members at all levels

8. Flexibility to work in shifts and adapt to changing production schedules when needed.

9. High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or management qualifications will be an advantage.

Pay: From $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
