Hubbard-Hall Inc., the oldest privately held chemical company in the United States, is seeking a highly motivated individual to promote and sell our line of proprietary, micro-electronic, and commodity chemistries for industrial surface finishing applications. The target market is Manufacturers of fabricated metal components. Our lines of proprietary chemistries include cleaning, conversion coatings, corrosion inhibitors, metal/paint stripping, and wastewater treatment.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for managing chemical operations and operators in a safe and efficient manner and supporting activities, including production scheduling, updating systems, providing proper paperwork, ordering production supplies and safety equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
May include one or more of the following:
- Plan, schedule, and direct operations, as necessary, to meet filling requirements in a safe and efficient manner.
- Review orders and customer requirements and plan production schedules and departmental operations based on various Chempax reports, including the MRP and min/max report.
- Prepare operational schedules and coordinates production activities to ensure production and quality of products meet specifications.
- Plan production operations, establishes priorities and sequences and is back-up to other Production Supervisors on a daily basis.
- Manage Specialty finished goods & raw materials inventory including the administration function of receiving products into the computer.
- Supervise production team, including hiring and training processes.
- Schedule incoming raw materials/ bulk deliveries.
- Promote & support the elements and principles of Responsible Distribution & ISO Quality Management Systems. This includes any Audit prep work.
- Complete Bulk Tank Inspection forms and address any issues noted.
- Work on 5s and lean projects.
- Conduct daily closing inspections and periodically audit the facility for proper segregation.
- Audit Security on incoming deliveries and visitors.
- Help make improvements to processes and equipment with the management team.
- Other duties as assigned.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITES:
- May be required to perform chemical operator or warehouse duties when needed.
- Manage samples, returned serialized and non-serialized containers.
- Serve as an Internal Auditor for the quality system.
- Some Saturday coverage may be necessary.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Associate degree or equivalent. Four year degree preferred.
- At least five years manufacturing & distribution experience, preferably with chemicals
- Able to organize & prioritize workloads and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrate leadership skills
- Strong verbal & written communication skills.
- Good understanding of Lean and ISO principles.
- Certification in DOT Shipper requirements.
