Established Sacramento law firm specializing in Trust and Estate law is looking to grow its team by adding an experienced Trust Administration and Probate Legal Assistant with at least three years of trust and estate experience. The firm provides a high level of representation in trust and estate matters.

The ideal candidate will be able to work well in a team environment, excel under pressure, and have the confidence and ability to assist a case through each stage of the process.

Essential Functions

The Trust Administration and Probate Legal Assistant is responsible for assisting our attorneys and paralegals with all Trust Administration and probate related matters. The ideal candidate will have significant previous experience with and will be able to comfortably handle the following types of tasks:

· Assist attorneys with case management for Trust Administration and Probate matters

· Preparation of Trust Administration and Probate documents including, but not limited to, notices, pleadings, grant deeds, affidavits, etc.

· Calendar hearings, prepare Notice of Hearings, clear probate notes, etc.

· Communicate and correspond with clients regarding their matter

· Track all time (billable and non-billable)

Minimum Qualifications

· Must be self-motivated and have strong organizational and time management skills

· Must be able to multi-task under time constraints

· Must be comfortable working effectively as a team player in a professional office environment

· Must possess excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills

· Must be eager to learn and contribute to the overall success of the team

· Must currently hold a paralegal certificate and have current CLE units (preferred)

· Must have at least three years of previous trust and probate experience

· Must be willing to work overtime as required, sometimes on short notice

· Must have multiple strong references

Job Type:

· Full-time; In-person

· Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Prior Experience:

· Trust and Estate Paralegal: At least 3 years (firm requirement)

Education:

· Paralegal Certificate with current CLE units (preferred)

· Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)

· Legal Assistant 3-years Experience (required)

Compensation is competitive and depends on experience. Benefits include health insurance, employer-matched 401k, and flexible PTO.
