Senior Engineering Manager, Flywheel Partner

We are seeking a product-centric and business-oriented Senior Engineering Manager, with great sense of ownership, to lead our engineering function in the Partner Product Group. This leader will be instrumental in defining and executing the technical vision, strategy, and roadmap, working closely with Product and Design GroupManagers. As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead execution and high-velocity delivery, cultivate an engaged engineering community within your teams, develop a robust product engineering vision, and strategize to attract and grow top talent. Important note: Engineering leaders at HubSpot spend their first ~6 months embedding as a software engineer on the teams that they will be responsible for and also for 1-2 weeks re-embedding each year. During this time, they will be actively coding, and staying hands-on technically is a key expectation for the role. There will be a 'take at home' coding assessment as part of the interview process. Key Responsibilities: Delivery: Oversee execution of your teams by cultivating a fast-paced environment and helping your teams unblock and move fast. Leadership and Strategy: Develop and communicate a compelling product engineering vision that aligns with business strategies and motivates engineering teams. Talent Development: Attract, grow, and retain top engineering talent, enhancing the team's overall technical density and effectiveness. Technical Contributions: Balance people management with direct technical input on design and architecture, ensuring high-quality outputs across the team. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with product managers and external partners to build integrations and enhance our internal platform, leveraging resources like MongoDB and Azure. Cross-Functional Partnership: Collaborate with peers across the organization to drive scalable software development and delivery infrastructures. Desired Qualifications: Proven experience in building and shipping SaaS products from concept to iteration. Strong contribution to product strategy and execution, able to lead and turn around larger teams. Full-stack capabilities with a solid understanding of Java, MongoDB, and modern frontend technologies. Excellent leadership qualities, with an ability to inspire, motivate, and engage a multidisciplinary team. Skilled in performance management and nurturing a feedback-driven development culture.
