We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our construction management team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled professional to grow their career while supporting complex construction projects, with a focus on Division of the State Architect (DSA) work.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Project Engineer will provide crucial technical and administrative support for construction projects, ensuring thorough documentation, quality control, and efficient project delivery. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
DSA Technical Support
- Prepare comprehensive DSA submittal packages
- Monitor and track testing and inspection processes
- Review construction documentation for compliance
- Process and track RFIs and submittals efficiently
Delivery Method Support
- Assist with Design-Bid-Build project documentation
- Support cost analysis for Lease-Leaseback projects
- Maintain CUPCCAA project documentation
- Process and analyze CMAS quotes
Document Control Management
- Organize and maintain DSA documentation systems
- Manage electronic filing systems and documentation
- Track and update drawings and specifications
- Maintain detailed submittal logs
Technical Project Support
- Assist with design review processes
- Support constructability reviews
- Coordinate drawing reviews
- Review project specifications
- Prepare site observation reports
- Maintain progress photo documentation
- Update as-built drawings
Quality Control and Project Administration
- Process inspection requests
- Document non-compliance issues
- Track correction notices
- Maintain cost tracking systems
- Update project schedules
- Process progress payments
REQUIREMENTS
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in construction or engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Technical certifications (as required for specific projects)
- DSA experience (preferred)
- Knowledge of public works projects (preferred)
- Strong technical and analytical capabilities
