General Manager

General Manager:
Looking for a GM to manage our Sports Center. Responsible for leading by example with customer service/facility presentation/reliability. Leads a marketing strategy through social media, and in person networking to broaden our recruiting reach outside of Hoboken.

Other responsibilities include:

• Manages the front desk at the center and handling any client concerns
• Organizes holiday and summer camps
• Recruits additional instructors - instructors that are capable of working with all levels and clinics
• Manages the schedules of instructors to ensure coverage & consistency in training
• Monitors communications from coaches to ensure it meets the HBC standards (often & friendly).
• Build out of performance space program to include possible open hours or membership opportunities (HS kids or other school programs).
• Expansion of programs to include softball, lacrosse, flag football and other sports to optimize use of the space while taking into consideration the needs of our baseball clients (lessons, etc).
• Secures the permits for practice/league use and schedules the tournaments for all travel teams.
• Finding ways to leverage the local sports talent to offer meet and greets or special clinics (Yankees/Mets/Rangers/Devils/Giants/Jets/Knicks or AA & AAA equivalents).
• Periodic surveys to clients to get feedback on program
• Find creative ways for giving back to the community or to the sport (Harlem RBI, Little League Programs, etc.) Donation of old equipment, etc.Proactively reaching out to new client registrations regarding their interests in HBC (clinics/lessons/rentals)
• College Degree
• Proven experience in staff training and management
• Strong skills in leadership
• Excellent team management and supervisory abilities
• Background in Sports Training &/or Coaching (baseball preferred)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
