Accredited by The Joint Commission, Hudson Behavioral Health is a 501 (c)(3), non-profit organization providing behavioral health treatment in Salisbury, Maryland and recovery housing in Georgetown, Delaware. Since its inception in 1980, Hudson Behavioral Health has been providing cutting edge treatment for Substance Use and other co-occurring disorders. Our services include detoxification, inpatient rehabilitation, partial hospitalization, treatment, and 3.1 housing.
Requirements:
- Works with the residents on a day-to-day basis using professional judgment and discretion to implement interventions as needed with an emphasis on advocacy and mentorship.
- Provide orientation upon admission.
- Develop and implement interventions that support holistic wellness.
- Maintains a high level of ethical conduct regarding confidentiality, dual-relationships, and professional stature.
- Manage residential house by maintaining a supply inventory, rent collection, performing fire drills, rand housing checks for compliance with rules and regulations, and reporting of maintenance issues.
- Provides crisis management for clients; makes referrals for interventions as appropriate.
- Provide a minimum of one life skills educational presentation per week for residents, either directly or through the use of community and company resources (such as job preparation, personal hygiene, parenting, organizing, budgeting, cleaning, relationships, accountability, nutrition, etc.).
- Coordinate substance abuse treatment, health and mental health services for residents, networking with referral agencies and other treatment facilities.
- Transport residents to job interviews, medical appointments, and other resources in the community.
- Assist residents with seeking employment, completing applications, developing resumes, obtaining rental assistance and health insurance and benefits.
- Consults with community organizations to ensure continuity of care.
- Attend community meetings including Chamber of Commerce, Sussex Country Health Coalition, IDAPT/Housing and reentering meetings, Sussex County Action Prevention Coalition etc.
- Consults and cooperates with community organizations to facilitate referral, provide information and education about addiction, and promote all services provided by Hudson Behavioral Health, including treatment and recovery housing.
- Referral- Able to make referrals to appropriate life skills resources (ex. provide telephone numbers of appropriate job skills resources to residents), and to coordinate utilization of those resources by residents. Keep updated want ads, information from the unemployment office concerning jobs, job fairs, and available trainings.
- Assist residents with weekly grocery shopping and providing supplies as needed.
- Perform random urine drug screens. Ensure that all results are documented, and results filed in resident’s binder.
- Record-keeping: Maintain instructional materials and statistical information.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Housing

Qualifications/Experience: Possession of a High School Diploma or GED. Associates Degree in Human Services or Addictions highly preferred. Peer Certification and or working towards Peer Certification highly preferred. A minimum of 2 years of experience in the field of Addiction is highly preferred.
