Summary Of Duties
Position Summary
Primary Responsibilities Include The Following
- Create and simplify data flows and data sources to be used by IRP, as well as other College stakeholders.
- Curate and develop a set of assessment- and effectiveness-related resources and tools.
- Respond to internal and external data requests.
- Support the Office’s state and federal reporting efforts through the preparation of relevant datasets.
- Assist the Office’s efforts to develop a Data Warehousing solution.
- Provide survey design and administration assistance to functional areas across the College.
- Identify and collect direct and indirect data, from internal and external sources, to support and enhance assessment and institutional effectiveness efforts.
- Analyze and interpret college-wide assessment data, prepare reports and dashboards to summarize findings, and disseminate those findings to the community in clear and accessible ways.
- Represent the office at meetings and on various committees.
- Conduct relevant research projects as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Two or more years of effective experience in extracting, analyzing, and reporting data.
- Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft products, particularly Excel (Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Query a plus).
- Experience with a Reporting Platform (SAP Business Objects preferred).
- Data Science: extracting, cleaning, joining, analyzing, and visualizing data from a variety of sources in order to produce robust, replicable insights to inform institutional strategy and decision-making. Experience with a data toolkit (R, Python, SPSS, SAS, etc.).
- Attention to detail.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- The ability to present information clearly and cogently to a wide variety of audiences with varying degrees of expertise.
- Curiosity, creativity, independence, and problem-solving skills.
- A commitment to process improvement for minimizing error and improving productivity.
The ideal candidate will display strengths in one or more of the following areas:
- Data Management: data warehousing; process automation; experience with SQL and relational database design; data dictionaries and metadata.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau (Dashboarding).
- Survey design, management, and analysis. Experience with Qualtrics preferred.
- Prior experience with state and federal compliance reporting.
- Familiarity with AI; Machine Learning; UX; App Development a plus.
- Familiarity with Data Governance and creating Data Dictionaries.
- Familiarity with Ellucian Colleague and/or EAB Navigate.
- Prior experience in Higher Education a plus.
