Facility Maintenance Worker

We are currently seeking a Facility Maintenance Worker at Hudson, MA facility

In this Facility Maintenance Worker position your responsibilities & activities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Janitorial and Building Maintenance:
   • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance duties to ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.
   • Clean and sanitize offices, hallways, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
   • Empty trash bins and replace liners in all designated areas.
   • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to maintain cleanliness.
   • Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper in restrooms.
   • Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are maintained and stored properly.
   • Inspect and maintain lighting, heating, and cooling systems, ensuring they are working properly.
2. Outside Building Maintenance:
   • Maintain the exterior of the building, including power washing, cleaning windows, and ensuring all outdoor areas are clean and presentable.
   • Perform general landscaping tasks, such as removing debris, trimming bushes, and maintaining flower beds.
   • Repair and maintain outdoor signage, fences, and gates.
   • Ensure walkways, parking lots, and entrances are free of hazards, and that snow or ice is cleared in winter.
3. Painting and Surface Maintenance:
   • Perform painting duties on both the interior and exterior surfaces of the building, including touch-ups and larger projects.
   • Repair and maintain painted surfaces by cleaning, scraping, priming, and painting walls, doors, windows, and outdoor fixtures.
   • Maintain and care for painting equipment and tools.
   • Prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding and filling holes or cracks.
4. General Maintenance Tasks:
   • Assist with light repairs and maintenance duties, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks.
   • Report any major repair or safety concerns to the Facilities Manager.
   • Maintain a safe and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols.
   • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Facilities Manager or Supervisors.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in janitorial services, building maintenance, and exterior painting is preferred.
• Knowledge of general building maintenance practices and repair techniques.
• Ability to operate cleaning and maintenance equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, pressure washers, and painting tools.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent service.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Basic knowledge of safety standards and precautions related to maintenance tasks.
• Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
