Starting pay for no machinery operation experience will range from $15-17/hr. with the first 90-days as a trial period. However, skilled machine operators will start between $16-18//hr. based on relevant experience. Excellent attitude, attendance, and performance lead to continuous pay increases during regular performance reviews.
Primary Duties
- Operate Guillotine Cutting Machinery, Sheeter Operator for roll fed presses, Perfect Binding Machinery, and UV Coater/Laminator.
- Maintain the equipment and keep the machine running
- Continuously monitor quality and conditions while assessing the machine functionality
- Staging pallets and completed pallets
- Visually inspect finished product quality and certify quality to customer specifications
- Maintain efficiency and minimize waste
- Perform regular preventative maintenance and work with maintenance crews
- Use a hydraulic pallet jack to move around paper and printed product
Required Skills & Experience
- Must have basic math skills, i.e., addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, as well as fractions and decimals. Must be able to read a ruler.
- Must have auto, industrial, or some other form of mechanical experience
- Must have a good command of the English language — i.e. able to communicate effectively both orally and in written language (such as job tickets), as well as explaining information and asking questions of co-workers or supervisor.
- Manufacturing machine operation experience is highly preferred
- Keen attention to detail
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to stand and move around the work area for long periods of time
- Occasionally be able to lift and/or move up to 85 pounds
- Support company safety policies and encourage employees to work safely
Available Shifts
Day Shift: Monday-Friday (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
Night B-Shift: Mon-Friday (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM)
Job Type: Full-time
- Workload may require working additional hours/days, including weekends, and, on rare occasions, holidays.
Salary : $15 - $17
